Once I was fishing the canals on a road named alligator alley. It runs east and west across Florida. There was a alligator on the other side of the canal from me. I caught a fish and threw it over to the alligator. ( there are signs along the road that say don't feed the alligators)
Awhile later I was busy catching fish when I noticed the alligator was in the water, but on my side of the canal ooking at me. He was about 15ft from me. It didn't take me long to jump over the guard rail and leave that area.🤣

Ray has common sense, know how we can all tell? No selfies with the gator 3' away or News stories; "A Florida man was eaten today"

The problem with gators around is that it raises the penalty for a simple accident like falling off a dock or boat, to a risk level that is outside most of our comfort zones. It certainly does for me.

When I first came to FL. I was bass fishing with a friend. I caught a bass and set it back into the lake. Holding on to the jaw of the fish I was letting the fish get its strength back before releasing it. My friend said you do know there are alligators here. I let go of that bass very quickly. 🤣

Yeah, you guys get used to living with animals that can eat you, I do not. I do not live where there are bears or lions or hippos...
<LOL>

blah w/e....did laundry & cleaned out my fridge, Daughter till has a cooler full of weird condiments and 27 different types of dip to pick up today.

I hooked up the stupid charger to my car, I'm going to retag it as Vintage ('02) but I let the battery die and want to run it for a bit. A smart-charger shuts down when the battery is this far gone, the stupid charger will charge it regardless and get it to where the smart charger will complete charging it.

I spent 2 hrs yesterday vacuuming my truck while I mowed the yard(robots) and Safeway went shopping for me and brought my stuff....a nice luxury but still cheaper than going with Kerry cause I won't let her pay.

In two hours, all of it was done...Martha Stewart has got nothing on me with multi-tasking

Then I went back out and detailed the front seating area. It took another 1-1/2 hrs. It's nice, real nice like new. Other than suspension and drivetrain, not much wears out. The 200K miles I'll have next yr bothers me but the new ones cost 50% more than mine did and this one has never broke and has been all mine for a couple years.

Bad music coming to work which means I'm prob still a little twisted inside. To bed at 6, up at 10pm till 2am then sleep till 4 this morning will do that to you 6 yrs in a row. I sure didn't feel like driving 46 miles but it's like a soap opera, I don't want to miss an episode! "As the world turns"............

I like the tomato pic.....beautiful leaves!

Weird coming in this morning. My spidy senses were on about a 6 out of 10 as I got out of my truck. Maybe it's that "Blue lights" have been at the 7-11 next door 3 times in the past 2 weeks, is getting me sketchy?

All good here of course but I don't spook too often so it was weird to feel the eyes on me.

My cactus leather came today 😉it was shipped from Germany even though it was made in Mexico. It's really nice but not really like leather more like pleather. I figure the person that cut it either needed a bier or one less 😁at least they did a centimeter or two more just to make sure they didn't cheat me 😉😁🤗😭IMG_20230713_153910270.jpg

Sorry your leather wasn't what you had hoped.

My delivery from Zenni was less than expected as well, one of the lens in the replacement pair also popped out upon opening them!
Geez a whiz....they couldn't even make a Replacement pair?

The lens doesn't fit the frame...no lip to hold it...and this is the lens that DIDN'T pop out, yet! LOL20230714_000108.jpg
I'll let them know today, they can refund my money or Discover will, their call.
Still disappointed with the lack of apparent QC, and these were the very best glasses they sell....and this is the best that they can do?......wow.

Again go with your gut. It has saved me through my life. If it doesn't feel right. Take whatever precautions necessary. I know it has saved my butt many a time doing that.

We tried to grow a tomato plant in Zola's conservatory - this was its whole crop !
It was big enough to make a whole meal in itself, but strangely,we didn't fancy eating it !!

If it has seeds inside you should save them to see if they will germinate next year to see what you get. Maybe a new tomato that you can name after yourself. People would grow them just because of the oddity.

That's a great idea, but unfortunately we didn't keep it - I wish I had thought of that at the time. I believe there is one more tomato coming on the plant, so I will definitely save that - even if it is fairly ordinary, it would still have the possibility of producing strange ones with its seeds, wouldn't it?
Thanks for the thought.

I actually like it but gee.... I could do a better cut drunk and with my eyes closed. It'll be fun to sew with and easier than leather. I still like animal leather best though. I don't think all people are about to become vegetarian so what do they do with the skins? Just burn them and make more carbon gasses?😉😊

It's possible. My grandmother in South Carolina raised Iris and had a great collection of many different colors. She said she always let hers go to seed because you don't know what color you'll get from those seeds. Hosta is another good plant to start from seeds because the offspring very seldom are the same as the mother plant.

One year I bought what was labeled as a beefsteak tomato plant but it was a cherry tomato plant. I went ahead and let it grow that year even though I was a bit disappointed. Next year I tried a beefsteak again in the same spot I wound up with tomatoes that looked just like yours. I've tried other larger types since in that area and all of them wind up looking like yours. I don't think it's the spot because it's now growing beautiful echenacea. I think that cherry tomato plant did it by crossing somehow through the years. Just a theory 🤔😊
