Ok. Day two of Red Neck hot tubbing….and it’s perfect. Hazy hot & humid outside 90F and HUMID. Our “pool” a cool 80 i think…and just so refreshing. Wifey was “skeptical” at best but goes with the flow. After our first soak yesterday she said……ok, I’ll admit, this is really nice. We both felt so “refreshed” after soaking.

We just finished another nice swim. Equally as refreshing.

Stopped by ACE Hardware this afternoon & picked up two pool “noodles” for our pool. Wifey bought beer!
couple of good wood clamps and some bungee straps make a nice swim resistance setup too

LOL....Haulover and MiamiBoatRamps are two of my fav "people doing stupid stuff" vids, along with the Darwin awards(what these folks turn into) vids.

We don't have a genset here at work so we must be on a different power leg or because of the work we do, they keep us powered, who knows. I was glad, no one here this week so it's quiet.

...and Mark makes wifey, a convert! Good for her for being cool about it! Ironically enough, Kerry has brought up buying a small 8'x2' pool several times lately.....to put inside the gazebo she bought at Aldi's for 99bucks! LOL I like the idea of the big tank better though, it's self-heating and it will last 100 years!

Here's a life lesson guys....

How come "life lessons" ALWAYS suck for me? Do they suck for everyone else too?

.......My youngest kid just got a bill that she cannot possibly handle right now....$3,500bucks due AUG 2 or she loses her tags. Her own fault but that's another matter. It came in the mail to my house yesterday. Also in the mail was a check from Erie for my actual flooring materials ....3500 bucks.....REALLY God? Really? Are you going to do that to me again? We need to have a heart to heart buddy cause you're missing something here! @ I can also see my Dad standing behind God, smiling as I deal with the same things he did many years ago. He's watching to see how I handle it...............I hope he's proud of himself.

The Lord givith
The Lord taketh away

Life is symmetrical.

LMAO

Enjoy the day guys.....mine already sucks.......lol

It looks it, looks like tidal waters funneled into a chase. I haven't looked at a chart of the area but those are some rolling waves!

My Klipsch Cinema 600 soundbar stopped working...........2 years old! Out of warranty of course!

I'm going to open it up and see if I can fix it. It has two power rails on the transformer, a 5V rail and a 24v rail. According to the internet, the 24v rail dies. This should be fun...."always wanted to be a transmEEssssion mechanic" (from an old TV commercial)

That's very pretty Ms Cathie...that's also a lot of work to make something so nice. Honestly, not sure superman's hands could put the needle through leather anymore.

I saw an odd thing driving in this morning while dodging biblical rains again. I saw 3 dead animals on the road, all together... A deer, guessing her fawn & a fox all right next to one another, hit by traffic. I'm assuming Mr fox was scarfing up some breakfast and got a little too engrossed with what he was doing?

FRIDAY! Thank God!

It must have been great to see them again - I would have loved to be there ! I liked them a lot, though my main favourite band was -and is - the Grateful Dead - and since there aren't too many of them left. I don't think I shall ever get to see them again. I did see them twice in London, many years ago,and that was magical. But at least the other day, I heard Bob Dylan playing my very favourite G D song- Stella Blue - which he did remarkably well.!
Angie
It was Angie. I was never a big fan of theirs but its surprising how much of their music I know and could sing a long to. I always wanted hair like Roger Daltrey but could never get the curls.
I know of Grateful Dead but not much of their music - I'll have to google Stella Blue.

Yes. I enjoyed UB40. I Especially liked that song and others by them. That's probably my favorite. We'll see. Utube was being a butthead.🥴🤗
'Red red wine' was written by Neil Diamond, I don't know if he performed it himself but I like UB40's version. They did a lot of covers.

Another hazy hot humid day in Maryland. Makes it hard & uncomfortable to be out baking in the sun kayaking and equally as hard to work in the garden. Sweating to death.

The sun and heat are good for our little garden, but not much else.

But….today we beat the heat. Just back from Tractor Supply Company with a red neck pool. Yep, a 300 gallon Rubbermaid stock tank that’s already filling. 6x6x2 ft deep. Think the size of the bed in a Ford F-150.

Is everyone else coping with the heat?

Fresh from the garden.

Club Tropicana springs to mind for some reason.🤔😁
Enjoy it and keep cool.
Our heat has eased off this last month which suits me fine, and we've had plenty of rain too - with a lot more to come tomorrow.

Good morning/afternoon all.
The weather is dry but cloudy and cool and we have a another day of downpours on its way for tomorrow. I've been out and stocked up on food for Lola, so that I can stay in the dry.
I've also been balancing on ladders having a good chop at a laurel in the garden which has grown really tall and bushy the last few weeks so I've tried to reign it in. I could do with some longer ladders really. to be able to reach and saw through some of the woodier branches at the top but could only do what was safe today.
I hope you're all well. The weekend is here again! It will be a quieter one for me but if you have plans - or even if you don't - I hope you enjoy it.

Lyn, have you ever tried the extension poles with a saw on the end? You can cut the small branches while standing on the ground. The only drawback is it is tough on the shoulders and upper body.

Thanks. I'm still trying to like it. I know every single booboo so it still bugs me. That's really sad to see. I can't stand to see road kill. Especially since there's a little device people could put on their front bumper that will stop animals from running into or in front of you. Even in the dark. Grant it... Dogs don't like the noise when you get home but... they won't get hit by a car either. People can't hear it.

I can't believe it's July 21st and I still have to listen to fireworks. They're from my stupid neighbors down the street. Fireworks are legal here on certain holidays but not every day of the week. I guess they can't read.

Hello Lyn - are you aware that The Who are on BBC2 tomorrow night (sunday) from 10pm onwards - 3 programmes? We shall probably record the lot, so if you miss it, I could send you a dvd later.
I do agree with you about Roger Daltrey's hair.

The Grateful Dead aren't to everyone's liking, but Jerry Garcia was an extremely brilliant gutarist, and I can still hear their music echoing in my brain even now.
