You're right Angie! What !!! On a kitchen chair ? Surely she would be sitting on a nice soft cushion on the floor !!!

If she were sitting on a chair like that, and got too deeply into a meditative trance, she might just slide off the chair on to the floor, which would really mess up the experience. I hope she will explain soon. Could she have been painting her toe-nails ?You're right Angie!

We have plenty of trees to hang on to so I think I'm safe
Well... I was just sitting like I usually do when an earthquake happened and I managed to miss the whole dang thing as usual. I was in the same room and everyone else was freaking out. We were even talking together and I still missed it. I wasn't doing yoga or meditation. At least the chair could have shook but nooo. That makes me madWe, as in us...are waiting for Miss Cathie to tell us WHY she was sitting on a kitchen chair, legs crossed....
We all good now?
I think she's delaying on purpose....to add "effect" and all.,...
lol
And well Ohio gets earthquakes pretty often and most places do along fault lines. I checked it out once online. California gets more pronounced ones but we get ones big enough to feel also. Ohioans can feel one that originates from another state.Even though I experienced one big enough to watch every dish in my cubboards rattle another time, I didn't feel that one either. I don't know if I should feel deprived or blessed.Well... I was just sitting like I usually do when an earthquake happened and I managed to miss the whole dang thing as usual. Jeff if you are referring to ZEROPILOT. He is south of me, so other than some rain. He also should be ok.Well, to be honest, I'm a little disappointed with the story Miss Cathie but that's only because my imagination had time to perk!
At least you'll get another chance, right? For me, if it moves much, I will too! I don't live where "I can feel the Earth move, under my feet" but that's because I'm safety conscious. Did you really say that with a straight face jeff? Really? You gonna lie flatout to these folks?......yup. I did to the ball Dr yesterday too....he says "you're 65 &1/2, it's not like you are doing anything dangerous anymore, right?"
I swear to God he said that, to me.....instead of reacting in laughter, I thought for a sec then just smiled and agreed. I was so proud of myself! He is a brilliant Dr, I give him all the respect in the world for his talent but he isn't going to be able to identify on that level. There wasn't a risk taking bone in his body, I could feel it......was no sense saying a word. For some folks, a ride down a slide is overwhelming. I don't mean that rudely, it doesn't mean they are bad or somehow "less than" folks, they just have a lower need for excitement than others might have. He would have been horrified....& most certainly thought me crazy....I stayed quiet!
Glad to hear Ray is out of the Storm, more or less. Would be good to hear from Z too....hope he's ok. See? That's what's wrong with Fl....the 105F temps I saw there a few weeks ago and storms....other than that, it's beautiful! LOL
Guess I'll go do some work for that $1.49 an hour...................
Enjoy the day guys...............
I have some gruesome videos of my hedgehog eating snails and slugs. It rolls them first - maybe to make them shrink back to a more manageable size. It's good that there's still natural food about for them but they can get things like lungworm from them.If I were a hedgehog, I would probably be very pleased to meet it !
There were people form the USA who travelled across the pond for the hunt, all hoping to catch a sight of it but apart from some unexplained sounds on the sonar they all left disappointed.I saw something about the Loch Ness dinosaur today on the news. Why is it so hard for people to believe it exists when so many people have seen and reported it? It's just another elusive critter if s/he does.![]()
I have a leopard tortoise who adopted me 9 years ago. He was found in a field so I've no idea how old he actually is - probably between 12 and 15. He lives in a converted unused bathroom with access to the garden at all times (when its warm)Dear Lyn,
What type of tortoise do you have and how old is he/she?

Even the 'small' cars in the UK have become a third bigger than they were. I was going to change my 2007 Ford Fiesta for a new one but it was almost 3 feet longer and about a foot or so wider, so because parking is tight in my street I didn't bother. Ford aren't making Fiestas anymore now. I may go for a VW 'Up' city car - which is quite compact, but at the moment my 16 year old car is still running OK so I'm not in a hurry.WTH is that, the menu at a Mex restaurant? I have a 2-seater play car and that 07 Taco just sounds smaller...lol
"Eclectic knowledge" it's in there, don't know where it came from or when it fell into the abyss but like the roach motel, things go into the mind, then never seen again unless awakened by some outside inquiry.
I think you get that from reading the internet of things, the whole thing. Google sucks now, only "above the line" results...they are really good for jostling my memory though! LOL
I couldn't remember his proper name but I plugged in; "Donnigan UFO" ...A hail Mary!
I don't fault anyone decisions on gas/elect. I get the "feeling" that unrestrained, you and I would have some fantastic discussions.....but could get banned for life for them here! Yikes! LOL I've found that folks can still be good friends if they don't forget that they have more in common that not....we all do.
Personally, I generally hate cars....they are big, needlessly heavy, I hate working on them .....fresh off a front brake pad replacements which reinforced that as I pried up each 750 pound wheel back onto its studs......just nutty overkill....says the guy who drives a 6000 expedition. I actually drive my truck to protect me from me and others. No other reason in the world. I drive my little car because it's a lot of fun, for a car! I rather work on a bike engine where everything is just as big as it needs to be, no extra weight to make you work more or slow you down......7:1 is a magic ratio for those that understand it's significance in the conversation.
enjoy the day guys....
I just saw it on the news Ray, looks horrific. I hope you, Rose and Opo say safe - and dry! I've been worrying about my nephew who is on a ship in the Gulf of Mexico. Thinking and hoping all Florida members will be OK. Anyone heard from Ed (ZEROPILOT)?Hurricane Idalai will hit shore as a cat 3 wed morning. Looks like it will skim us but will be to the north.
Here is a look at how many satellites are in orbit. The satellites that are in a row. Are the Starlink satellites.View attachment 360870
My nephew in Ca recently experienced his first earthquake since moving there a few months ago - a bit scary but no damage. Glad you're all Ok RayLooks like the outer bands of hurricane Idalia will miss us. We had a hard windy downpour from a outer band around 5pm for a hr. We might get some rain in the morning. I feel sorry for people in the area where it will make landfall. That area is like a bowl. With the full moon, the incoming tide will be higher than usual. The storm surge will be devastating because of that area. I believe that area is only 4' above sea-level. With storm surge in the excess of 12'. It probably won't be a good outcome.![]()
You answered my question about Ed too Ray, so thanks for that.Jeff if you are referring to ZEROPILOT. He is south of me, so other than some rain. He also should be ok.
