I am very good at swimming downwards, I believe it is sometimes known as sinking, but the other directions elude me.
It's all about perspective& reminds me of a local Lawyer commercial:
Ted was hurt as he was "leaving work"

Wait, you mean Ted got hurt "going home" right?
Lol

Ok...finding a 9yr old nearly brand new(used once) drone in the garage I got sidetracked and it charged up...

20241017_190311.jpg

That's it, still blinking...stuck. LOL

So now it has flown twice nearly a decade apart and we got;
Same result
Different tree

I guess I'm not a drone guy.
See...you guys completely understand why I have 7 construction staplers.

Good morning afternoon all. It was a lovely morning here, but this afternoon has turned very grey and more rain is on the way.

I went back to the opticians, to retest the pressure in my eye and after a few different tests they are referring me to the hospital for even more tests and probably treatment for either ocular hypertension or glaucoma - seems the former causes the latter, so hopefully it's caught very early. I'll have to check how this affects my driving or insurance, I think I should be ok at the moment. Whatever the outcome I can still see a lot more than I can have 👀.
Hope you're all having a good Friday.

You guys & Joe by extension have a lot of "eye issues" as a group....to me, it would be devastating and I don't use that word often. Dad has stuff going on too. He detached a retina last summer riding a Banana behind a boat so he appreciates this; I took this 10 minutes ago.( the drone is in the tree above him)

Behind him is the deer. It had been there a couple minutes but I had to open the door and holler "Dad, look left"

Or he never would have seen it... LOL

Have you got a fishing rod? Maybe you could try to hook the drone - maybe wait till the leaves have dropped the though. Or perhaps that raccoon could help?

Joe is allowed to drive with his glasses on anyway. You aren't that far yet so unless you're driving laws are different than ours you don't have that problem..

Jeff, buy another drone put some type of hook on it. Use it to rescue the other drone.
You can do it!!!!

I am just off do some downward swimming.

Hope you found a way to swim in the up direction.
My problem with swimming is since my right leg is amputated above the knee. My righthand and wrist are also amputated.
So I swim in a circle. 😂

We were posting the other day. About forgetting where we put items. Well it played out yesterday. Before the hurricane I put some parts to a gate in a safe place. Yesterday I went looking for them and couldn't find. I spent a 1/2hr looking for the parts with no luck. I decided to ask Rose. Rose said she put the parts in the shed. She couldn't find the parts there. She then looked in the garage with no avail. She kept saying, I thought I put it right there. Needless to say we made a trip to home depot. 😂

Good afternoon/evening all. It's been a lovely day here so I've spent most of the day in the garden, moving some pots around and filling bags for the tip.

My sisters sent me this article from the BBC news about a very lucky tortoise. Made me shudder.

Hope you're all having a good weekend so far.

Yes I saw that on the news Lyn. How are your neighbours? Mine kept everyone up all night!

Every one (including me) should have a cupboard labelled "a safe place" then we might have chance to find out lost to thing.
I've spent half my life looking for stuff I thought I'd put somewhere safe!

That's really inconsiderate of your neighbours. I hope you have a better night tonight. Did anyone tackle them about it?
My neighbours will never change. I spend weekends in a state of anxiety; they are all home then and that's when they get up to all sorts. They were hosing chemicals into the lane again this morning in spite of me telling them about the wildlife. Very selfish.
