I posted this pic on the split scute thread showing Lola's little horns. You'll need to zoom in

Just a birth defect I think, but they don't affect him.
They sit on either side of his proneural (?) scute and while they are fused over the top of the other scutes, the tips aren't and you can see the smooth shell behind them where they've shifted during growth.
Lola is my little devil 😈

Well today I lurked and I the lurked near the construction company gates but couldn't get in or attract anyone's attention. I'll be getting a bad name for myself standing on street corners 😉, but I'm pleased to say that as I was going back at 5 pm I saw them driving off and everything was locked up for the night with no sign of a bonfire. So the little residents of the pile survive another day. 🙏

I will still try to talk to someone though but at least they didn't use bonfire night as an excuse to burn it.

Time for me to go to bed. I haven't slept too well the last few nights worrying about the hedgehogs but I think I will be ok tonight.
So I'll see you tomorrow, but for now nos da and sleep well.

Joe came home today and was really upset and kept signing to me. I kept telling him to write to me what was wrong in plain English and so he finally did. He said he had to go veto 😭 so I drew him a map to his polling place. He walked to the church and voted 🤗 honest his polling place is in a neighborhood church.👋

Cathie, awhile back I made a joke about sign language. It wasn't mean but none the less it was a joke. I didn't realize Joe uses sign language. I am sorry if I was insensitive.

Hope all are relaxing this evening. I took the nightvision outside to look around. I learned after scanning the woods that if you look at the sky with it, you see depth & zillions of stars! It's like looking through a super high powered telescope except it doesn't magnify, just illuminates! Very cool!

I've had Lola for 10 years but he was probably 3 - 5 when he adopted me. He was found in a field by someone I worked with and no one claimed him, so I don't know his history. The vet said that leopards are often dumped because of the cost of care needed.😔

Also known as fireworks night or Guy Fawkes night. It's a tradition that celebrates the discovery of the gunpowder plot 1605. A group of Catholics tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament to kill the Protestant King James. They came to a sticky end and people celebrate with bonfires and fireworks and some make a figure of Guy Fawkes to burn. Like most traditions the reason for them is largely forgotten these days and it's an excuse to make a lot of noise, and big money for the stores.

Good morning all. Apart from low mist making it a bit damp, it's still pretty quiet here weatherwise, and too warm!

I'm glad bonfire night is over, but there'll probably still be more fireworks to come over the next week or so on. In Holland they only sell fireworks on the day they are to be used - which used to be just New Years Eve and they are banned at other times. I wish they would do that here. I know I sound like a party pooper but having them for weeks on end at all time of day and night is annoying!

I have a few chores to catch up on after spending so much time around the construction site, so I'd better get on.
Have a good day.
