Good morning all, I hope everyone is well.

Our calm, dry weather ended on Sunday, and today we have the first snow of the season. I don't think it will last long and it's not as bad as they've had further north, but the temps have really dropped. Lola is very wisely staying in his cosy hide and I think I'll be staying in mine.

I had my first appointment at the eye hospital last Friday but only for scans etc so no answers yet.

There's quite a few posts to catch up with so I'd better make a start. TTFN

This reminds me, I have never seen a check in my life. As a Finnish person it is always weird to see Americans talk about checks.

Also, I have been physically to the bank once, back when I got my bank credentials and first debit card. I think I was twelve at the time. Ever since everything has been taken care of virtually.

When I turned 18, I had to take care of some stuff as my finances were fully moved to me from my parents. I would have wanted to go to a bank in person, but couldn't get an appointment. After days of trying, I gave in and took care of it on the phone. 🤷‍♀️
I still use cheques to send birthday/ Xmas money to my nephews and nieces who live further away. I don't trust our postal system enough to send cash and don't have all their bank account details.

They used to have to take them to a bank but now with some sort of wizardry they can pay them into their accounts by taking a photograph of them.

I remember the first time one of my young nephews received a cheque from me he was so excited about it he didn't want to give it to the bank. It took a while for him to understand it was the only way he could have the money 😂.

Yeah, I used to wear a lot of tie-dyed stuff back in the day, often from Thailand! Haha. So this brought back many fond memories. Sigh.
I like to go out
With men from Bangkok
They are such handsome guys,
Some even want to marry me but -
I'm not ready for permanent Thais! 😂

(A little dirty I wrote many years ago).

Good to see everyone is okay and that Edward's Dad and Natrah are recovering from some very nasty bugs.
I'm having my annual flu and covid jabs on Thursday - hopefully they will keep the worst at bay this winter, or at least weaken the effects. Having had covid last July I'm probably already covered for that but better safe than sorry.

It's stopped snowing now and only white on the hills and mountains around us, so I may wrap up and head out to the shops. See you later.

I am actually female, so more of a mum if you want to put it that way 😅 You are not the first one to make that assumption. Though I feel like my role is closer to a servant than a mom. 😂

I have to have a eye op to remove a cataract, Boo!
Should be interesting, though.
