Good morning/afternoon all.
I spoke too soon about the flooding - most of my town is under water
. Luckily it hasn't reached my street which is on slightly higher ground, but it's so sad to see all the small shops and businesses on the high street affected especially so near to Xmas.
Our old bridge has been damaged, by a fallen tree in the water. It's hundreds of years old so we're all hoping it survives.
We've had almost 48 hours of heavy persistent rain and it's still falling. It's supposed to ease up in a few hours time, but will take weeks for everything to dry out.
I've been for a walk to see if any displaced hedgehogs were wandering around lost, but didn't spot any. Hopefully they will have made their way to higher ground as the water level rose.
I'll go out again later
I hope you're having a drier and less eventful Sunday. TTFN
