Good morning everyone!

Did you all have a good time? What is the history behind Thanksgiving and do you all give presents like Xmas? Ray and Cathie were you okay? Did Sapphire, Dilly, Mr Fre, Razberri, Ms Sully and Opo celebrate at all? How about Sally, Squirt and GGGGGAAAARRRYYYY?

Natrah
Thanksgiving is just a day to be together with people you love and eat enough for next year.😊 Supposedly it was started by the early settlers and native Americans. They all brought food and celebrated a meal together. It's just a day to be thankful for the Lord's bounty and appreciate family and friends. (And eat until you're knocked out. )😉 Then go back on your diet until Christmas 🎁 ⛄

Happy black Friday from what I hear. We're taking another day of rest though. We had turkey and rice soup today for lunch. It was so cold everyone needed it to warm their innards. It's been around 34°f today all day. It's dropping and is 29°f now. It's not worth fighting the craziness for a deal. We had all we needed.🦃😊

That sounds lovely on a freezing day Cathie. Have you got any snow?

Finally some cold weather (below freezing) here. The birds realize the feeder is for them (& squirrels). Cardinals, Blue Jays, Titmouse, Chickadees, Juncoes, woodpeckers, Morning Doves & more.

We had fox, raccoons visiting our turkey carcass too.

Christmas Cactus loving the cold nights. Upfront among the cactus is my newest Christmas project. A six pointed golden snowflake. It still needs a spray of waterproof varnish & then hung outside for the holidays.

The plants and project look great Mark.......

It's so cool having the animals close enough to see, but not so close that you have to take care of them or pay to feed them daily!

We drove up to Dover today so Kerry could return a pair of shoes.....we swapped them then we leaving the mall when she decided to return that pair as well. Very chilly day @32F and breezy so of course my new flag pole arrived. I need to mix concrete for the base....and not in such a rush that I can't wait for above freezing temps. Concrete doesn't like low temps.

N's Goose girl looks like cast bronze? I agree, very commanding piece.

I used to imagine that Thanksgiving was a warm-up before Xmas and after last night's meal with friends at Tomassi's restaurant I think we did precisely that. I had Chestnut and Stilton Pie followed by Coffee and Amaretto Cake Sundae and friends had roast turkey and ham and turkey salad followed by Belgian Waffle, Apple Cake and Maple Walnut Sundae. Watching my cholesterol went straight out the window!
