Ms.Sully laying her first clutch of eggs. Unbelievable that she knows what to do. She buried the hole afterwards. All the eggs cracked I am not sure why.View attachment 383532View attachment 383533
Tortoise eggs are rubbery when first deposited, and sort of pliable, making them more or less safe from breakage as they drop into the nest and as she pounds the dirt to cover them up. Your eggs cracking and breaking make me think she might need a bit more calcium in her system.

I was thinking the same thing. I wasn't at home. When she laid the eggs. So I don't know how pliable the eggs were. I believe @Maro2Bear gave her cuttlefish.

Dear Ray,

It's a copper picture that I made as a child when mum was running copper classes with her friends.

Natrah
I enjoyed copper tooling as a child too. I also enjoyed doing a wood cut picture. I was blessed to get to take art classes in school while growing up. Every one should get the opportunity to do that as a child in school.😊

You were supposed to have learned that lesson long ago with "Miracle on 34th street"......LOL

But the Chevy Chase/National Lampoon series were some of the funniest movies!

To me, Chevy was always like a "modern" **** van Dyke!
I must have already known it because I've always loved hearing bells. All these movies are completely new to me. I've never really layed around and watched TV 😉 it's pretty cool. Now that I'm retired and decrepit at least I won't be bored to death 😊

I have a picture of Opo that I like. Work your magic if you would. I don't have a pic of Ms.Sully that I like
Ms.Sully has been busy the last few days. She was digging holes to lay eggs.
View attachment 383531Thank you
Opo is so beautiful. What a beautiful boy! Even if beautiful isn't typically what you call a boy it fits. What's in his mouth through?🤔🙃😊

Sorry it took so long, but I have decided to write one song from the album as something to do thanks for your patience. From now on the rest of the albums I make are going to be put in a new thread in off topic chit chat titled as "Send me pics and I will make a song and album cover" It's long but it conveys my point.

"Opo and Mrs. Sully"

(Verse 1)
Out in the sun, where the grass grows tall,
Lives a little old tortoise, slow as a crawl,
Opo’s his name, with a shell full of pride,
He’s got a love in his heart he just can't hide.

He met her one day by the old oak tree,
A sweet little tortoise, as lovely as can be,
Mrs. Sully, with her eyes so bright,
Opo knew right then, she’d be his delight.

(Chorus)
Opo and Mrs. Sully, hand in hand,
Racing through the meadow, across the land,
No hurry, no rush, just taking it slow,
Together they wander, where the love flowers grow.
Opo and Mrs. Sully, the perfect pair,
A love so strong, it’s beyond compare.

(Verse 2)
They’ll share a patch of grass, side by side,
Under the stars, with no need to hide,
Opo might be slow, but his love’s fast and true,
He'll stick by Mrs. Sully, no matter what they do.

Through the storms and the sunshine, they take their time,
In the world of slow, they’ve got a love that shines,
No race to win, just a lifetime to share,
Opo and Mrs. Sully, a love beyond compare.

(Chorus)
Opo and Mrs. Sully, hand in hand,
Racing through the meadow, across the land,
No hurry, no rush, just taking it slow,
Together they wander, where the love flowers grow.
Opo and Mrs. Sully, the perfect pair,
A love so strong, it’s beyond compare.

(Bridge)
They might be big, but they know how to dream,
Under the moonlight, life’s as sweet as it seems,
With Opo’s love and Mrs. Sully’s grace,
They’ve found their home in this slow-paced place.

(Chorus)
Opo and Mrs. Sully, hand in hand,
Racing through the meadow, across the land,
No hurry, no rush, just taking it slow,
Together they wander, where the love flowers grow.
Opo and Mrs. Sully, the perfect pair,
A love so strong, it’s beyond compare.

(Outro)
Yeah, Opo and Mrs. Sully, they’re taking their time,
A tortoise love story that’s one of a kind.

Rocky racoon is on the roof dang it. I tagged him several times with my slingshot, then Kerry woke up.

I have some 35ft bear spray...gel, but he's hiding.

Welp, he just came down. We heard the gutter noise so I gave him a spray...hope he stays away.

The can says 35ft. Reality is more like 15.
LOL
