Good morning all, we have a grey but dry and mild Xmas day here.
It's that time of year when I have to pretend I know what I'm doing and cook Xmas lunch!!
I've managed to avoid it for the last couple of years, but not this year, so I'll be cooking for my nephew and I. Thank goodness he isn't fussy,
I hope you've all been good so that Santa pays you a visit, and I wish you the Xmas day you wish for yourselves.

It's been a nice Christmas even though I've been a slacker all year. Lots of family visiting. I actually saw an American Robin today though. Sapphire came out and ate on his own too. It just turned winter and the animals are telling me it's spring. Who do you think I believe?
Well, that's Xmas over for another year. We survived lunch which was at least edible. My nephew doesn't give any opinions or feedback on what he thought about it, but he ate it all, so I'll take that as a

He went home about 7, so after I'd driven him home I went to a sister's house for a short while.
Boxing day has Started here but I hope those of you still in Xmas day enjoy the rest of it.

Jeffrey got 10 hours of sleep for Christmas, he's very happy!
Nice morning as her son and his girlfriend made breakfast at their place for us Christmas morning. Then we rolled over the bridge to see my kids and aunts at my ex's house. A nice day. Got to see all the kids but new daughter in Fla, who's in Canada visiting with her BF's family & new Granddaughter who was with her mom.
I love all my kids but oldest daughter is very angry with me. Oh boy is she mad!
I kept confidence about something my grandson(her son) told me and she's pissed, super pissed that I won't tell her. She even hung up on me that day on the phone last month! Didn't even call me on my BD a couple weeks ago and wouldn't even look at me yesterday but I chose not to engage her "victimhood" & just called her an old grouch as I hugged her and told her I loved her, since she turns 40 in 2 weeks. LOL We had a nice time with the family and she will get over it. I won't escalate this...watched as too many parents lose their kids doing exactly that.
I did give her the letter she had written to the President in 1991 but I was unable to hand to him at an event back then. She was 6 years old at the time. I had saved it, still in the envelope in a plastic bin. She opened it and it was written on the lined yellow handwriting paper, in all caps! So sweet!
Oh, for those curious about such things. I got Kerry a pair of boots and she got me a pair of slippers for Christmas. It was our first Christmas as a married couple......yeah, she picked out both! LOL

I got several gnomes to add to my little gnome village in the Texas tortoise yard. I'll take a picture for y'all later when it's light.

Tomorrow is the last one of the "in-between-days" (välipäivät)! That is what we call the days between 25.12. and 31.12. here in Finland. Do you have a word for them?
