I have 3 plantains and some avocado oil. I think that's a good place to start. I've been wanting a good way to cook plantains for 20 years or so. I'm going to try deep fried this time. I did find out which ones to buy for some good food. Wish me good cooking 🤗

Good morning everyone!

Yes I want to hear the sounds of nature and it's ruined by unnecessary music. I've written the BBC a letter about but I didn't get very far.

Natrah

I'm sure a lot of us watch "nature shows", with a group like ours. I have noticed that the UK based shows are MUCH more likely to have a "masterful score" accompanying the images. The constant crescendo's alone make me turn the channel. When I sleep at night, I often change the channel BECAUSE of the chosen music! I search for something truly in the background, not a part of their show.

The Aussie shows are better in that regard, the Caribbean based shows are worse.......it's tough getting old, so many petty things for me to worry about now! When I was working and feeding a family of 5 while living month to month, I never worried about the volume of the music accompanying nature shows...LOL

It's warming up nicely outside. It's already 55F! I might open the garage and install my recovered headliner today.....but a large part of me wants just to chill outside, maybe with a coke....

I hear you Jeff, it’s not quite warm enough outside. Get ready for big storm(s) tomorrow!

Mental note....N is my "backup plan". I love good cooking!

Well, with Kerry not around to insist on helping and Mark reminding me that tomorrow is going to be stormy, I installed my headliner this afternoon.

Yes that is a black grease mark.

I swear my hands and tools were immaculate...but there's a lot of black hardware and cables for the motorized top...i just have touched something.

I was able to remove 99% of it...but it sucks, right? I hate messing up something before I even use it.....LOL

So to feel better I took the car out for a few minutes of fun driving....how come I thought of Mags, because she would have approved!

I feel better...my little car is right again.

Found that Cathie. You have to scroll down quite a way to get to recipe.
I'm pretty sure I can use them in any recipe that uses bananas, zucchini, or apples. Maybe more As a loaf of bread, pancake, maybe even a latke etc etc. My son and I are eager to experiment with it. I think I've changed my mind. I'm going to try plantain bread first using a zucchini bread recipe that I already have. My son got excited while googling. Plantain is a good food for the them because it helps with their health issues. Besides that we love to cook! If we fail it'll still be edible 😉 possibly 😜

I hate the drip of a slightly leaky faucet. No matter where it is in the house you can hear it. Especially at 3 or 4am when you're trying to sleep 💤 or even when you try to take a daytime nap. Even if you turn up the music you can hear it. If you turn it up loud enough you'll get arrested 😂

Don't worry the mark will fade with time. Or get covered with dust. Whichever happens first 😊

Time will tell on the skin graft but they say probably not. I don't think burning it the second time did anymore damage. When I touched the dome of the CHE. I felt it this time, so I moved my arm quickly. I am going to ask them if there is a better way for the dressing to be applied. It has to fit losely so no pressure on the wound. Unless I sit around and do nothing. It's pretty easy for the dressing to fall off. It fell off when I transferred to my wheelchair. That's why the dressing was off when I touched the CHE. I am also on antibiotics.
Something I do at times for somewhat similar things is cut up a sock. Maybe if you cut a sock into it could hold the bandaging in place. Just slide it up like a sock. There'd be a built in clean cover and cushion over the wound too.

Try Goof Off, but do a little area first to see the results.

Thanks, I was at the urgent care clinic at the hospital today. I should go every 3 to 4 days to have them look at it and change the dressing. They were a little concerned that it wasn't healing better. Of course I didn't tell them about me burning it again. They tried a different dressing, but I have my doubts. I like the sock idea. I didn't realize how much I put pressure on that area. When ever I transfer from chair to chair or bed. I use that arm to balance myself. So now I lean on the forearm instead of using the tip of the arm.

I think the bottom part of a sock would work to hold the bandaging in place. It would also be some cushioning. Just hopefully where you are a sock wouldn't affect the wound with too much heat. Maybe just a cotton sock that breathes over top. I really think the extra knocks can keep aggravating a wound like that and make it worse. I know I'm enableling you 😉 to keep up your b😊d behavior 🙃So please protect it and allow your arm to heal 🙏 as you do what you do.

Thank you so much Cathie. I will give it a try.

Lyn, I think N was referring to Rays habit of burning himself! Yikes!

Being a Plumber by trade, I can hear a leaky faucet through 4 walls!
That can be such a nagging sound....the anticipation is the culprit.

Want me to mess with you?

Count how long it takes for the water closet to refill after a flush.....that's it, go ahead and count the seconds. 20?
but will it be 20 seconds next time too?

Better to listen and to count to be sure.......every time it flushes.

Don't worry, the hook has been set.....someone here will fess up in a couple of weeks begging for the cure to feeling compelled to listen to their toilet. And I will help them, since I got them into it!

I spoke with Kerry last night about her newly engaged daughter.....apparently I had the wrong timeframe for their wedding;
"After I'm out of school"
turned into
"Maybe late summer" which turned into

May 18th!!

While I'm thrilled that she had found someone, even if he is Canadian. The fear I have is that he's using her and this relationship to remain in the country......I'm sorry, I worry about my kids and despite what something may seem like, I worry if it's not what it was cracked up to be. I met the man and he was described by her to be a "gentle soul" and he seemed like it. My own daughter described her boyfriend using the same term.....our girls are the same age so it stands to reason. A gentle soul falls into a 6' hole if I need to dispose of him as easily as a mean soul so he's best not to FAFO! LOL

Good morning all.
It's another bright and sunny day, although still chilly first thing and in the evenings. I think we have a few showers expected on Friday, but it's nice to have had some lovely spring weather.
I hope the rain that Mark was expecting on his side of the US hasn't been too bad.
Happy Wednesday everyone.
