Lyn, I think N was referring to Rays habit of burning himself! Yikes!

Being a Plumber by trade, I can hear a leaky faucet through 4 walls!
That can be such a nagging sound....the anticipation is the culprit.

Want me to mess with you?

Count how long it takes for the water closet to refill after a flush.....that's it, go ahead and count the seconds. 20?
but will it be 20 seconds next time too?

Better to listen and to count to be sure.......every time it flushes.

Don't worry, the hook has been set.....someone here will fess up in a couple of weeks begging for the cure to feeling compelled to listen to their toilet. And I will help them, since I got them into it!

I spoke with Kerry last night about her newly engaged daughter.....apparently I had the wrong timeframe for their wedding;
"After I'm out of school"
turned into
"Maybe late summer" which turned into

May 18th!!

While I'm thrilled that she had found someone, even if he is Canadian. The fear I have is that he's using her and this relationship to remain in the country......I'm sorry, I worry about my kids and despite what something may seem like, I worry if it's not what it was cracked up to be. I met the man and he was described by her to be a "gentle soul" and he seemed like it. My own daughter described her boyfriend using the same term.....our girls are the same age so it stands to reason. A gentle soul falls into a 6' hole if I need to dispose of him as easily as a mean soul so he's best not to FAFO! LOL
The slow drip from the kitchen sink faucet onto a stainless steel sink is so annoying 😭!!! But I know how to give it a muzzle in the middle of the night until I can get to it.😉

Don't worry the mark will fade with time. Or get covered with dust. Whichever happens first 😊
Well... When I woke up this morning I was still thinking about this and remembered something from the 50's . My mother used lard and lemon juice to remove motor oil from white shirts. The lard melts the motor oil a bit and makes it easy to blot out with lemon juice and a paper towel.😊

May need new boiler. I wanted to hibernate with Jacky although she will be out soon.

I've been looking at the BOXT boilers. If you need a new one they can usually fit it in days or even next day. Have a look at their website and follow the easy steps to see what they recommend and price. However, if you rent that's down to your landlord, so I hope he sorts it out for you quickly.

That's a good tip., Cathie.
Will the lard leave a greasy stain on Jeff's roof though?

I hope you can find a good way to just fix it. In the 80's. I had to deal with a boiler and the heaters. I liked it. Even if it was a pain when the boiler was down. The heating didn't depend on electricity to warm us up. Just fire it up when you figure out what went wrong.😊🤗🙏

It could but use really small amounts with a paint brush on the stain only. Then you blot it off with small amounts of lemon juice.

I was able to get the grease stain out.....using a white cloth and "Laundry Pre-treatment" from the dollar store...wicked stuff. I've used it for years. I have Goof off in the spray and the liquid for refurbishing vinyl(softens it up in 45 seconds) tool bags but it didn't even cross my mind to use it for what it was meant for! I'm a bit thick sometimes! LOL

That lard trick sounds like something I'll try on an old pair of jeans first. The "lard" part scares me too!

I was wrong Lyn, N's boiler is bad....

I hope that you are able to resolve it without too much drama N.

The lard thing works but it is best to learn how on something old. My mother did it on white shirts. My father always had a clean white shirt to wear as a supervisor over the machines.he controlled and rigged. 😊He loved being a machinest.

I get to have cataract surgery April 8th. The doc said I won't have to wear glasses after. Only over the counter reading glasses. I'm so excited it's making me nervous. I'm glad but my surgery involves a 1/8" Incision. Not lazor. I told him the doctor to just knock me out. I want it done 👍

What about your boiler? Or will the heaters be enough.
Waiting to hear from the plumber about whether it can be repaired or I can have a new one. The heaters aren't really enough but they'll do in the meantime. Looking forward to my concert tomorrow in a warm hall.

I have been wearing contact lenses most of my adult life, but now have a cataract in my left eye (which until now has been my better one for close-up vision).I also have one in my right eye which isn't as bad. I shall be very interested to know about your op, as I would really like to have my left eye fixed, at least. I am a bit scared, and of course it's very expensive. I don't know anyone who has had the op recently, so shall be grateful for anything you can tell me.

My grandma had cataract surgery recently and she feels like the biggest difference after surgery was improved vision when driving, especially in the dark.
