I found something that really works good for kittys. It's a Breeze litter box system by Tidy Cat. There's no tracking... just a pellet here or there. No shoveling a cement cat litter and pee brick. You just change the pad once a week unless you own Dilly (our cat). I change his pad every 4 days. And of course just scoop the poopIt’s another rainy day here. Being in Louisiana, 2 months of no rain is always desired. I’ll be more than happy to water plants myself. The sheep all needed a good shower though. They were dirty. We have LSU vet coming out on Tuesday to do a flock check. We are worried about feet because of all the water for so long, and we are ready to sell our ram and get a new one. We want a good report on him.
Vet bills seem to be never ending over here. My house now has four cats. We went from zero to three in a year and then my daughter was given a Bengal kitten recently. They all live inside. I grew up with a terrible cat allergy. I needed an inhaler anytime I went to a house with cats in it. This is why we had zero cats. Now, no reaction. It’s crazy. We love them m, but I’ll be a little bit excited when my daughter moves out (getting married next year) and takes two of them (Sphinx and Bengal). The litter boxes are a constant aggravation. Any tips? We do not allow our cats outside. Our oldest cat appeared under our porch a couple years ago, tiny and pregnant. She’s the only one that has lived outside. She is now a pampered diva.
Here is a picture I took this morning of the Sphinx being treated like a baby and a pic of our newest twins born on Thursday. I was weighing them. They were such a sweet surprise when I got home from work, a boy and girl.
I’m serious about cat litter tips. Give them to me. View attachment 353543
Thank you.COLD DARK ROOM
Our rain events are over for a while. So far today the sun is out, and hopefully it will stay out the rest of the day. Supposed to get up into the lower 50's. I didn't get around to raking up the leaves around the entrance to my house, and all the wet weather rotted them. It's VERY slippery to...tortoiseforum.org
Wow. It would be so much fun to watch that from the beginning! I can't remember if it's a possibility that the eggs are fertilized. The other day Ms.Sully laid a large clutch of eggs. The eggs were finally hard instead of soft and rubbery. It is unbelievable when she buried the eggs. The dirt looked like the dirt in the area. You couldn't tell she was there.

Opo and Ms.Sully were together for about 1/2hr. So it is possible for the eggs to be fertile. I believe that after mating. The sulcata female can stay fertile for around 8 months. Different breeds of female tortoises duration to stay fertile varies. Some are 5yrs some 10yrs and I tsperms. read some are lifetime. They have a area that is inside of them. Where they are able to store the sperm. All that said, I let Ms Sully bury her eggs and I destroyed with a stick.Wow. It would be so much fun to watch that from the beginning! I read that box turtles can be fertile for several years after being with a male. I've always wondered if tortoises are the same way. Or maybe what I read is false. It would be interesting to actually know the answer to that.Opo and Ms.Sully were together for about 1/2hr. So it is possible for the eggs to be fertile. I believe that after mating. I hope you're okay.Yucky warm windy and blustery. Lots of big storms blowing our way. Hatches are battened.
Yep our storms today around 11am are headed east. Sorry probably your way. I was in Kroger's down the street when it hit. The rain sounded like a downpour of a million buckets on a tin roof. Even so it didn't seem catastrophic. David my brother that was watching over little Mr Fre at home however said different!...he said the wind was crazy and he wondered if he should move away from any window. That's my favorite picture window that he was talking about! Mother nature don't you dare get even with me for talking about you But now I have pretty blue skies and with soft poofy clouds for a while. My son's area is east of me guite a bit They had tree damage around them because of the wind. It must have been crazy because he called me afterwards. A couple were uprooted some cracked. We've got a big problem in some areas of the UK with river pollution, which is being investigated. It's believed to be caused by run off from chicken farms that have been built near them or maybe from the use of chicken fertiliser on farms. It's destroying the eco system in the river and killing fish.100 baby sulcs in a couple months will reveal that MS Sully fooled Ray and had buried a stash of eggs somewhere unseen! LOL
I'm picking Kerry up at 10pm this evening. I thought it would be real nice while she was gone for 2 weeks. I figured I'd be able to do stuff i wanted to get done. It just dawned on me....i do that when she's home anyway! It will be good to hold her again.
It STINKS outside! I ran up to get milk and bread and in the Spring, farmers use chicken waste from all the chicken farms to fertilize their crops. I don't know how that works out for the prions in the soils but when we all get mad cow, we'll know! We have a LOT of farmland....holy cow...i sure hope it rains today.
I've been freshening up my motorcycles. Some haven't been riden in 7 years so they need attention before riding. I finished one but it's a 3 cylinder two stroke that needs to run a while to "clear out" but there hasn't been any winds here. I need brisk winds to carry the huge cloud of smoke that will accompany starting it up to set the mixture screws. I briefly fired it up the other day with both doors on the garage open...even then it took a half hour for the smoke to clear. Lol
Enjoy the day guys....today "Saturday" actually begins with the letter S!
