I am feeling better. Rose is still having issues with her hysterectomy and her lower back. Hopefully we will all be well. For the trip to Michigan. The plan is to leave on the 12th of June.
Hope you mean June Ray, or else you've been so poorly you've missed a month. 😉

Take care Ray, and the hope you and Rose are fighting fit in time for your trip.

Good afternoon/evening all.
This birthday bunting is quite a job. I have lots of pics of my nephew but it's taking me a while to scan and print them so that the originals can go in a photo album. Still I have another day to get them all stuck on to the bunting.

I overheard my neighbours talking in the garden very loudly this afternoon and it seems the man-yob has walked out of his job.
I am devastated 😟 For years he has been away from the house for about 10 hours a day, Monday - Friday and that's when I relax and use my garden most, but now he's going to be home a lot more and up to goodness knows what, especially if I go out. I'll be a nervous wreck!!
I hope he gets another job soon - hopefully somewhere like Dubai!
Anyone in the US like to offer him a job?

Good for you bud! Be careful though because content can mean "all needs met". Sounds boring to me but of course it would! LOL

It's supposed to get to 100F here today....
Mark ought to be dragging out the big tub around now if he hasn't already!

We got a trailer for the kayaks that easily is pulled by my ebike! With its 750w motor, it pulled just like normal. How cool is that? It's been a pita to put them in the Expedition then drag them 40yds to the water. Now, we can ride to the waters edge and leave the bikes and trailer there! We didn't use them much last year because it was too difficult. The kits to mount 2 Subnados on each kayak giving me especially a break when I want it. We also got sunshade for them....its hot out!

Stay cool guys!

jUST A REMINDER If you add propulsion electric or gas you must register that watercraft. That is why my yak has a pedal drive- sick of paying extra for something I already own

LMAO I do appreciate the spirit of giving me the "heads up" BD but...
..aint happening. I read the laws and I won't give Md 1 red cent they don't pry out of my dead fingers. My Subnados quick-connect, invisible from the surface and can be detached by hand from inside the kayaks or the trigger throttles can be left in the water avoiding detection. It isn't like we're going to be leaving wakes!
I specifically avoided buying outboards for that very reason. Used to be 7.5 hp and under didn't require registering. F 'em.

On another note im outside of BWI airport waiting for Craig from Florida....his wife is driving in tomorrow but he was in Boston so im picking him up. Her sis and BIL arrived yesterday....we will all leave to go to the reunion venue after I get home and pack for the weekend.

Cataract surgery is weird but not really hard. The only thing that got on my nerves is the light sensitivity afterwards. I had to wear sunglasses in the house even. But now I just have my shield on and I can already see a difference in my sight. I can actually see color better. I'm thrilled because I missed that a lot.
I had a phone call today giving me an appointment for an eye examination prior to getting cataract surgery - so it seems like it is really probably going to happen! I was assuming it wouldn't be until next year - I feel less scared about it after your description of your experience, and will sort of look forward to it now. Also, I'm getting a hearing aid very soon, which will mean that I won't have to annoy Richard by asking him to repeat things all the time!

That's very good news, I hope you're not waiting too long now.

I was assuming the same when the doc said you have significant cataracts. Would you want to have a different lense?🤔🤔 Yes. Now I can see color better. So after going through the right eye, two weeks later on Monday, I get my left eye done. That way I'll have less down time in the long run. I'm glad you feel better about it. It's worth it. Enjoy your recovery. It's fun to see again without looking through a cloudy haze. I also read an article about magnesium and the people it helps. If you have the aura that comes with them it will help. If not it may not. The article on Google is mymigraineteam.com/migraine/magnesium. 😊

On the way back to our house with Craig, I found this gorgeous female. She will be staying with us a few days before I return her to where I found her.

Since we aren't going to be home I set her up in her own enclosure for the weekend in the garage and set the temp to 77. She is a looker!

Good times here with Kerry's family but it's been a long day.

Good afternoon everyone!

On my way home this afternoon I noticed all the emergency services and an air ambulance in the park that I used to play in as a child. It seems that part of a tree fell on to a group of children and I hope they're all okay.

Just seen the news and a tree fell on a group of children. Five of them were injured and two of them were seriously injured.
