Me and my tortoises are inside and safe!
The rain was so unexpected. I was on a parking lot when it started. It was beautiful at first and then it turned into violence.
I wish we had some of your rain Ana because for one thing you don't need anymore whereas we need. I hope those girls are found and I hope the rest of our friends over the pond are okay.

I couldn't even watch TV last night. All the bangs disrupted my reception and the TV kept freezing. I wish they would just do drones or lazor light shows. They're just as beautiful without sounding like someone's blowing up everything to the point of percussions in the atmosphere. Poor animals.It's the fourth of July. It's a day of celebration of the birthday of the US. That's fun but me nor my animals much enjoy all the bang bangers. I wish we could celebrate the end of a war with a peaceful night instead.

Fortunately, I am in a better situation vs South Texas. We have roads closed so I am staying at home doing my crafts

You are doing a great job! I guess it's harder to teach music adults vs kids...
p.s. my brother is a professional musician. He has a talent. I graduated musical school when I was 15yo but I chose a different path far from music....
Yes I think it's about time they were banned everywhere. Not only are they too loud and startling for humans and animals, they are also a fire hazard and dangerous - A&E depts get quite a lot of people in with burns when fireworks are about.
I'd forgotten Heather is in Texas. I hope she and all her family and animals are safe.
There are some beautiful moths. Garden lighting has become a big thing here but I wish people would turn them off at night. It confuses moths and only contributes to their decline. I've had some lovely butterflies in my garden today. Only the common species but lovely to see them as they also are in decline.

I've just had the common ones here today as well Lyn. We've had quite a bit of rain today and it's been cooler so Jacky had a lie in. We've had several power outages in this area and yesterday they sent my washing machine up the creek! The landlords said that there was one at midday today and they are going to phone tomorrow morning to see if there were any in the night. The washing machine has sorted itself out and it really does not like it's spin cycle disrupted.
Anyway I'm concerned about Anastasia as I have heard that there are more storms on the way in Texas. Ana please look after yourself.

The rain is heavy here today. Many roads are still closed.
All my thoughts are with those who lost the loved ones in a flood. It's so tragic.....

I couldn't find out how bad her area was hit but it did get some flooding. Maybe where she is there didn't.
