I haven't been here much. I haven't had much energy. As it turns out I have shingles that was mistaken for cellulitis at first but I may have some of both because it's not acting normally. It started inside my ear so that's weird too. Ok I have a question πŸ˜‰am I just weird or am I unique πŸ˜‰πŸ€”πŸ€’πŸ˜ I can't wait until it's gone. I will then be running to the first guy that offers me the vaccine and Joe won't be long getting it too. He'll pass out at the sight of the needle but we'll just pick him up off the floor.and dust him off. Then poke him..πŸ’‰

We were thinking there was probably more babies 😊
No more babies. To tell you the truth and don't hate me. With the over abundance of baby Sulcata tortoises. I decided I would break the eggs. It was uncomfortable and it still gives me a knot in my stomach. I let Ms.Sully bury the eggs and I poked thru the dirt. With a metal rod. I obviously didn't break all the eggs. Now that I know what Opo will try to do. To get to Ms.Sully, I have reinforced everything. I have two more nesting sites, that may have some hatchings in October. Since a female can stay fertile for around 8 months. If I can keep Opo away from Ms.Sully. Everything should work out after October.

If there was more and they managed to survive I'll bet you'll get a visit now and then.
I am keeping a lookout. They will be fine until the cold nights start happening.
I am keeping a eye on the Gopher tortoise nest also. If I do find baby Gopher tortoises. It will be hard not to intervene. But I have to let mother nature do her thing.

My neighbor had shingles real bad on his back. Suffered for a few days years. Then the vaccine was developed and it cleared up.
Hope everything works out well for you.

Was supposed to have a colonoscopy tomorrow morning. The hospital said they would call this evening and tell me what time. Started drinking the stuff to clean me out and eating no solids today. Didn't here from the hospital. So I called the nurse director. He said I wasn't on the list for tomorrow. I told him, I guess I will order pizza delivery then. He said enjoy!πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

THAT sucks Ray.....but at least you're clean inside and out! Great progress on the bike....that's pretty amazing what you've done so far!

Shingles in the OUTer ear or inner ear? I had my own bout in my very early 40's...forehead, side and scalp. Felt like needles being pushed into the skin en mass. I still get phantom pains from it. I hope it goes away soon. Morphine(vicoden) was my friend.

Not unique....but yes to weird. "Unique" is an excuse that weird people have used since forever. LOL It's ok, I'm in the club too. I think most of us are....as we all consider ourselves to be "different". Its normal human behavior. So I guess I just made my own argument for "Unique"!

We were invited to a birthday party across the street yesterday. He has a huge flat lawn an his kids set up the Croquet game. I did not realize that an "official" field is 35 yds by 28 yds. That's big! I heard the grandkids say it, I don't know. I haven't played in 30sum years and I really tried not to win.....I learned that my buddy is very serious about his sports and we're the same age so he's at a big disadvantage so I played w/o ever hitting another ball. He played OFF everyone's' ball! LOL That Karma got him though and one of his grandkids sent his ball into the next county giving me a clear field free from those pesky opponents balls. Good times and his wife cried when we sang Happy Birthday....she's the one with the double lung trans so it was understandable.

Cool day

Ok @jeff kushner , time for us to make a trip to Lyn's. We need to deal with her neighbors. πŸ’ͺ🦾
I heard him saying to someone in his garden that they didn't want to come back from their holiday and would have stayed in France if they could have. I must admit I put my hands together and quietly said 'Yes please God!' πŸ™ I may offer to pay all their costs!! πŸ˜„

I don't have anyone across the pond that could help Lyn. But I would sure like to be there. If you happen to put something together. πŸ˜…
All my go to guys in the north east are getting old also. They did help me out recently with a problem. That's all I will say about that. But their attitude was the same. They are to old to worry about the consequences..Yellowstone is on my bucket list. I was there when I was 4. The only thing I vaguely remember. They had a bear in a cage. You put your money in like a vending machine. A glass bottle of coke would be dispensed to the bear. The bear would chug it down. I am sure it wasn't in the park but on the way. I don't know if I remember that. Or the pictures I saw reminded me.
I sure they could get away with that in 1962. I don't think it could happen now.
One of my other neighbours once offered to send some 'boys' around to have a word. I was worried I'd end up on n clink!

So sorry to hear you're under the weather Cathie, shingles is really painful. Hopefully you won't need to
He jab now you've had it - or can you get it again? I hope not. Take care and get well soon. πŸ’

Good afternoon everyone!

I'm sorry to hear about these health conditions. My front door key has been missing since yesterday.

Natrah
Oh no! I hope you find it soon or have a spare so that you don't have to change the locks.
Do you use a local FB group to ask if anyone's found it?

Make sure whoever does that for you is a member of the Association of Rectal Service Engineers. (A.R.S.E. for short) πŸ˜†

Think you did the right thing, Ray.there are too many abandoned torts in the world. I can't understand why places in the UK are allowed to sell large tortoise species without any thought for whether buyers have the means to keep them properly as they grow. Poor Lola was lucky to have been found by my colleague when he was just left to fend for himself to n a field.

Yes myself and the landlords have a spare. I'm not really a member of a local Facebook group that could help although I am a member of Essex Tortoise Group on Facebook and they disappear and reappear all the time!

I have just one and the reason I agreed to let it happen because I have only 27acres in this area. And it was not possible to fight against since everyone was happy to lease their land for windmills. I don't know where the energy is stored, and I don't know how the company maintains those windmills. I still believe it was not the best idea to place windmills in Central Texas because of the severe storms in spring season.
They have a devastating affect on birds too because they don't see the blades.😟 The UK is set to have hundreds of off shore windmills in the next few years. I hate them. Solar panels would be better. I don't know why they can't invent some sort of dynamo under road surfaces so that cars could help generate electricity.

My grandpa has had chronic Erysipelas for decades, I believe shingles is a bit better?
