I guess the wound has to look worse before it gets better.
The way my leg hurts Cathie. I hope yours didn't hurt this bad. What looks like a weird color tan. Left of the dark purple is all part of it.View attachment 394625View attachment 394626
I was glad to be on blood thinners already. The stabilizer after I fractured my knee cap caused bruising like that and it did hurt like heck but my knee didn't. The one down my broken face and neck at the same time didn't hurt. I must be numb brained or something 🤔😉 same with these shingles. The blisters down my neck didn't hurt or itch. Only the ones on the back of my head. The ER doctors think I'm weird. Thank God for small favors 😊

Oh Ray -I'm so very sorry. That looks extremely painful ! It brings tears to my eyes just looking at it !
I do hope it will improve quickly.
Lots of sympathy from Angie
Thank you Angie, I am alternating heat and cold. Didn't do much today, because when my leg is hanging down. That is when the pain is the worst.

I am thinking the bruises are worse looking. Because of the blood thinner I am on.I have been on eliqus since the accident.
Is your shingles clearing up?

Good afternoon everyone!

It is tipping it down here but anyway I hope Angie is recovering from her injections. Ray and Cathie I hope you two are feeling better. Edward's Servant have you been prescribed iron tablets? I am still waiting for the results of last week's blood test for my thyroid.

That's really good you're on a blood thinner. I was hoping you were. That's the same one I was prescribed because of my face. But that was just blood and not a bruise. It keeps you from getting a blood clot from the bruise dissipating too though. So I was really glad when I got the great big bruise from my stabilizer that I was already taking it. Yes a bruise hurts ike heck. I'm still dealing with the shingles and I do feel better but it's still pretty rough. I wish they would do more scare tactics about getting the vaccine and quickly though. Tell people exactly what can happen. If I had went in early like they say I would still have been misdiagnosed because of where it started. Even more than a week into it I was misdiagnosed in the ER. It was 2 weeks before I got started on anti virals and even then they couldn't get it through their head that it started inside my ear. I haven't even told them I also had a stiff neck. I'm going to though. Even doctors need educated about the real danger of this disease. I don't blame them though. My body also isn't doing typical symptoms correctly. So far I don't have facial paralysis (Ramsey Hunt syndrome) so I guess I'm doing great. 🤔😊 In other words I'm not getting the horrible things that I could have because I have inner shingles except maybe some hearing loss so far.

Hum, Cathy, I frequently see Shingles Vaccine ads and the Pneumococcal ads on the TV also, along with the slew of other drug ad's. I just hope things get easier for you soon. 🤗

I believe it means that it is pouring rain? But don't take my word for it, I am not a native speaker after all 😅 But in school they teach us British English, and American English is more of a curiosity. Though I am sure we hear plenty of American English now days in social media and TV etc. in Finland.

I feel it😃 I learned British English too. Maaan, I was in funny situations because of it. I was in a store and someone said that my pants were nice. It shocked me because I thought they were talking about my underwear 😀 Next was in a restaurant when I ordered biscuits and I got some bitter buns😃 and so on..
I hope one day you will be able to come to visit......Texas😆 (my house is always opened for good people).

Since Ray and I are friends I am wondering if it's been long enough to laugh at you for hitting yourself with a hammer. I am SO glad I wasn't standing there or the laughing would have started then....you know, after I make sure that you aren't dead and all. LMAO

Years ago I ran a division here in the US for Atkins, a UK based firm. Steve Lee was one of the operatives and he used to educate me each morning with a "British word of the day"
Lorry-truck
bonnet- car or truck hood
biscuits-cookies
boot- car trunk
randy- Doh!

I've been playing with the kayaks this week. I mounted those underwater toys of mine onto each of our kayaks. Mark would be so jealous! LOL It's actually been really nice to cruise so quietly into the reeds and shorelines of our creek. I think Kerry likes her setup! "The laugh" says it all! LOL
Chestertown is an historic town with a nice public waterfront so we've been playing with the idea of seeing if we can make it under power. It's about 2 miles or so, maybe a little less from our creek beach to the Chestertown bridge but I'm not good at judging distance on the water. They should make it both ways but out on the river they might be sapped by the strong currents. I guess in a pinch, we could paddle!

Good afternoon everyone!

Just watching the news about the wildfires here and in Europe I am very worried about wildlife because of our actions😢.

Natrah
Me too, it breaks my heart to think of all the wildlife that's lost as a result of those fires and many of them are started deliberately. 🤬
I hope the rain we're having and expecting tomorrow will help douse the big one in Yorkshire.

Good evening everyone!

We had some showers today and I saw Daisy's 🐢 rainbow. It's just as well that we had the rain because there was a flat on fire near one of the local theatres. Two people were taken to hospital and I hope they're okay.

We've had a lot of heavy showers the last few days - lovely!! However I've heard there's been some flooding in Cornwall because they had a lot in an hour. I think the heaviest rain and possible gales are expected here tomorrow. We need a lot but hopefully just as steady showers to give the water a chance to soak in and drain away.
