Good afternoon/evening all.
We're still getting plenty of rain with a few sunny spells and the grass is looking nice and green again. Lola hasn't left his hide or eaten anything today. I don't if it's a reaction to the cooler temps and rain or if he's not well - I hope it's just the weather, but I'll be keeping a close eye on him.

Alfie enjoyed a walk with Tilly today - another sister's dog. They got on and played very well together.
Tilly is coming to stay with me at the end of the month, when her family is off to Cyprus for my nephew's wedding. I think they were relieved when I said I wouldn't be going because otherwise she would have to go into kennels, so they would have been worrying about her. Tilly has a heart defect that can't be fixed so she's very precious to them and they would hate to leave her in a strange place.

I don't like flying, crowds or heat, so I wouldn't have enjoyed it very much, and I also don't have anyone to look after Lola so I couldn't go really. They are having a big party when they're home in October, so I'll certainly be going to that.

Anyway, I'd better go to bed now so I'll say nos da and not see you soon. Take care.

Dear Cathie,

I hope they enjoyed their manicure! But how are you?

Natrah

PS: I hope Ray's okay.
I'm not sure they enjoyed all that extra attention but they're acting pretty good and normal. It probably did them both a bit of good. My doctor's nurse called and I haven't been fired as a patient. He wants to do an MRI on my head and neck. I'm so glad he's actually listening and is really trying to help me. It's none of their fault that my case is being difficult to diagnose and help. But since he's actually listening I feel like I'm in really good hands. I'm blessed to have him. I would say I'm 50% better or more. I'm getting on my way up.

Our journey is coming to a close this week. We left Lubec this morning and drove north to the Moosehorn wildlife refuge but we didn't see any moose. We then began the long road towards home. We are back at Elaines house in New Harbor for the night. She's the old lady that makes rugs.
Maine has been interesting. Fantastic and almost storybook nature beauty. Unrivaled views
It's "Alaska" but closer and no "real" mountains...very rugged, lots of rivers, lakes and ponds.
The people however pretty much suck. Polite but that's it...and don't ask for more! LOL We have already rated this as one of our best trips ever. Just the pure beauty...
I'll post up some pics once i get them off my cameras.

That sounds great.
It is good to hear you are getting better.

Selamat Malam is Malay for goodnight
Good evening everyone!

I just want to tell you that when my cousins came to stay with us several years ago my brother and I couldn't remember what the Malay word for 'goodbye' was but we decided that it was probably 'selamat datang' 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Anyway some time later my cousin said that she noticed we were calling 'selamat datang' as we were going out the door although it actually means 'welcome'🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. It's best just to say 'goodbye'.

I am better thanks. Went to my primary doctor yesterday for general checkup. She gave me a shot of Tramodal. I finally got some good sleep.
It took me years to get up the nerve to try tramadal in pill form. I actually like that one now if I absolutely need something for intense pain. Especially at night when I can't sleep. I'm so glad you found something that actually helped. The pills don't take all of the pain but they make it bearable. I don't really want a pain medicine that takes all of the pain anyway. I'll forget I have a problem, over do it and just make the problem worse. Good good 👍

Hawaiian's say aloha coming and going. They have one short word for everything. So I think it's a welcoming word with a lot of nice meanings. I think I'll try selamat datang on my son just to get him googling 😉😁 so he won't leave.😊

Good morning everyone.
Our weather is very squally at the moment - lots of short, heavy downpours so at least the drains are having a chance to take the excess water away before the next shower. It's making taking Alfie for his walk difficult, so I'm trying to think of places where there is some sort of shelter that we can duck under when necessary. I think the canal is my best bet, where there are old, low stone bridges over the towpath and water. To be honest he's quite happy curled up on the couch in the dry 😄.

It has been unusually warm here, but next week it will be cold and rainy with a high of 14 C (57,2 F) and a low of 11 C (51,8 F). This worries me, because yesterday read about a Russian tortoise that escaped from a greenhouse on Tuesday.
I don't live in the same city, but it came close to home so to say, as Edward escaped his greenhouse this summer. I am really thankful I was able to find him.

Our temps are low 50s today and tonight. I felt quite chilly last night so I put the heating on for a while.
We have a yellow warning for up to 50 mph winds Sunday/Monday as well as rain, so looks like the storms are coming early this year.
I hope the lost tortoise is soon found.

And well that's a perfect excuse for joining Alfie on the couch. Mr Fre won't step out of the door in that kind of weather. He makes a wonderful comfy lap warmer. Better than a blanket.😊

Since you read about it, hopefully the word is out to neighbors and the little one will be found.🤗🙏🤞
