It has been unusually warm here, but next week it will be cold and rainy with a high of 14 C (57,2 F) and a low of 11 C (51,8 F). This worries me, because yesterday read about a Russian tortoise that escaped from a greenhouse on Tuesday.
I don't live in the same city, but it came close to home so to say, as Edward escaped his greenhouse this summer. I am really thankful I was able to find him.
Yesterday the owner was interviewed for their local news, unfortunately the tortoise hadn't been found yet. The owner voiced concerns about the tortoise hunkering down somewhere, looking for a brumation spot.

I worry about that too, I fear that chances of safe brumation in this case are slim.

Good afternoon/evening all.
Alfie went home this afternoon, so it's pretty quiet here. I'll miss him, but by the time I've vacuumed up all his long fluffy fur that's everywhere, Tilly will be coming to stay and she'll keep me just as busy.
She isn't used to Lola so there'll be extra security in place to make sure one can't get to the other.

We've had some lovely sunny spells today, but still with occasional short, heavy showers. The river is looking much healthier now after all the rain of the last couple of weeks. I'm not looking forward to the strong winds that are on the way for tomorrow night and Monday. I hope there's not too much damage.🙏🤞

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.
I'd better go and make myself something to eat, I'm not that hungry though so maybe I'll have s bowl of cereal. See you later.

Good morning everyone!

These photos were taken on the way back from my friend's 60th birthday party what it doesn't really show is the fact that the tide was very high and further along the path the waves had crashed over the sea wall as there was seaweed everywhere. Angie and Lyn we have a weather warning for wind so the tide will be very high today!
