Do you have one of those inspection cameras Ray? The sort they use for drains etc. You could maybe push it through the soil to see if anything's happening.

Unless it's an urban myth the founders of Lidl and Aldi are apparently brothers who used to be in business together but had a big fall out so they are now in competition with each other. In the UK where one goes the other follows. Lidl are going to build a new superstore near me, just across the road from Aldi. I'll be spoiled for choice.
My nephew lives in sheltered accomodation which are usually for older people and he has a lovely flat in a quiet spot near a park for now. It is closing and he is moving to a brand new place after Xmas. It sounds great, but it looks like a secure prison block. The council are trying to persuade older people to sell their homes to rent one of their flats - I think they'll be struggling to fill them up looking like that.

Someone spoke about scams earlier but I just to tell you that even before Alzheimer's dad had trouble pronouncing the word 'scam'. Therefore when the phone rang I would ask dad who was on the phone and in a loud voice he would reply 'scum'.

Good morning all. It's a very wet Sunday morning here. Can't complain too much, we had a dry start to October (apart from Storm Amy).
I've had a busy week, with family occasions and a party for my nephew and his new wife last night. They were married in Cyprus at the end of Sept. I didn't go as I don't like flying or heat but they had a great time. It was nice to be able to celebrate with them last night.
It may turn out to be quite an expensive party for me though as I think I may have gone over 20 mph near a speed camera - twice!!! On the way there and back. This lower speed limit is really hard to stick to and introducing that on the majority of roads is the worst thing the Welsh government have done.
I'll just have to wait and see if a little brown envelope arrives in the next 2 weeks.
I hope everyone is well and has a peaceful Sunday.
