Been working outside earlier, dang it is chilly, bout 45° (7°c). Cutting back my Mexican Sage which has gotten leggy. Coming inside and going to make a Turkey sammich for lunch. I have been running 2 space heaters in my family room, dang fur babies are crashed out, Oh to be a kid again. Solar has been producing very little, So Electricity meter has been spining forward, which is ok as it is about 1k Kwh back from where it was 9 months ago. Any hoo, say warm my friends

I can hold Sapphire with one hand but I also have to over his plastron. He doesn't mind it because he thinks it's time to go outside 😊 he doesn't struggle at all. He's just a little 5x5 though still after 18 years.🐢

Matt got a nice bath, scrub brushed and oiled for the very first time! I used the kitchen sink. He was pretty active during his bath and as i used the brushes but boy did he calm down when the coconut oil began to get slathered into his shell.

He stretched each arm and leg then his neck so I could rub it into the skin. I put him back in his home and he lay under his che. I swear I can hear him saying "Awwwwwww"

Matt is an Eastern Box turtle. He was 5 years old in June. He's pretty cool. We found him as a very new baby upside down on a bike path apparently dropped by a bird....that's why his butt is flat! LOL He deserves some love.

So a shout out to our friends in the UK! You guys know I have robot lawn mowers. They are 5 & 6 year old models and discontinued for a couple of years. MTD (cub cadet) took over sales and parts in the US when the Robomow firm stopped selling these. Anyway, parts are already nonexistent.
1 of my mowers needed a part the factory lists as "NLA". Uh oh....a stupid 2.5" long "ball joint" that connects the bumper to the machine.

After reaching out to the few remaining sellers in Israel where they were built, I found a couple of part guys in the UK. I wrote to each and sent them a pic of the Ball Joint I needed. One lady had 4 of them, I bought the lot!
Thank you Miss Staniland of Tenby! My robot runs again!

Dear Lyn,

I've decided to go back to wearing a mask because this strain of flu.

I wonder if I have caught it. I have been sick since Tuesday, with a fever, muscle aches, a sore throat etc. Thankfully I have some relatives nearby that were able to bring me some food and medicine yesterday from the pharmacy and the grocery store.

I never stopped, I wear one in church, one of the few parishioners that do, I wear one when I'm shopping, but I do NOT wear one when I'm by myself in the car, like I see some folks do...I do take it off when I'm dining. But I still have to care for myself as I have no one that can come in and care for my menagerie...

And I was vaccinated in September for The new Covid and Flu Strains...

I've never stopped either if I need one. The cloth ones are great for allergies, cold weather and you name it. And I know what you mean about the menagerie. Even if you do get help, it takes time and energy to train the person and critters. It's easier if you can just get her done yourself 😊
