I have an LED Grow light that I want to use to grow plants inside my tortoises cage. The lights are red and blue, making everything a purple-pink color beneath it. Is this an issue for my tortoises eyes? I tried it for a bit today and my tortoise was trying to eat my finget through the glass, which is super bizarre behavior for him. I know red has been said to make them confuse things for food.. Is this potentially going to be an issue or unsafe? If so, what grow lights could I even replace it with? I haven't seen any good pure white lights.
Or could a Reptisun UVB 10.0 light alone grow plants from seedlings?
