Hey all, lately I've noticed my golden has a really bumpy shell compared to some of the pics I've seen online. He's about a year and a half now. The main concern is near his head there seems to be two dimples on each side of his neck. I tried to take pictures to visualize this. Thanks for your help.

Hello @nicholas lim . You cute tort is slightly pyramiding but nothing to worry about.

Give him daily soaks in warm water and make sure there is enough humidity in his enclosure.

By the way, he's really cute!

Hi Nicholas. Your torts shell has started pyramiding but not badly. As said above, bathe him and provide a humid enclosure and a damp hide with Spagham moss. Creating a COMPLETELY smooth shell is really hard so don't worry to much about previous pyramiding just correct the enclosure for the future.

Thank you so much guys. I'll start throwing moss back into the enclosure. I cut his baths down to every other day, i guess it was too soon.

Here's his enclosure. The part with the divder has a lid for hiding.

my dad is a fairly handy guy. he built the enclosure for him. i added a vinyl sheet to tent the top for winter months.
i'll add more moss and coconut coir tonight to help with the moisture.
