My tortoise has a calcium deficiency from his caretaker and I bought him some cuttlebone to munch on. One thread said to feed him the whole piece but it seemed too much for him so I broke it in half. He faired better with it but he still struggles. Should I break down to an almost powder state for better digestion or?

Hello and welcome. You can use a file to shave a bit off on to the food when you feed.

Welcome, mine would never eat them, however there is caluim, powder that you can buy, of indoors use the caluim with vitumin d, outside with out vitumin d , putting this on there food is probably the best option because you can be sure there eating it, and you can control the amount, I do keep a cuttlefish bone in my encloser, but my girl isn't much for it,
