Torts like to get a "fresh" cuttlebone from time to time. Have you tried a new one ?

My Hermann is about the same age. He goes through phases of eating the cuttlebone. He just started eating it within the last day or two, but he hasn't touched it in a couple of months (that I have seen).

Adults? Provide it.
Not every day. But very often.
My Redfoot often go weeks or months without touching any of it. Then one day, they eat it for a week straight.
Replace it if it gets fouled/dirty. But provide it.
I buy bags a broken cuttlebone from a large bird store here in town. As cuttlebone can be expensive, I find that "bird people" don't care for broken peices. And they're perfect for tossing in my pens.
The store owner saves me the broken parts. Because he knows I'll buy them.
Better than throwing them away!
Ask your local bird seller for broken cuttlebone.
Good luck.
