I'm getting my baby sulcata on Tuesday, and I was wondering how often I need to change its mulch, if at all? I've heard from some that i need to change it once every two months, and others that they never even change it! I'd like to know the forum's opinions.

I have posted a similar question and the response I got was to do it when you felt it needed to be cleaned. Since I line mine with the cypress mulch and layer it with coco coir I changed it after a month and a half. I threw away the cypress mulch and baked the coco coir. Then I opened a new coco coir brick and reconstituted it with warm water. I relined the enclosure with the cypress mulch and added the new coco coir and then put in the stuff I baked. It worked really well and I am hoping I won't need to do more until I build their new enclosure at the middle of next month. I hope that helps. If not, hopefully someone will chime in with a better answer.:)

Ah, great answer, at least I have some kind of general time frame. My uncle works at pet smart, he told me "ew gross, you need to change it every other day!!" Since then I've been quite curious.
