What is "kitchen paper". Is that what we call a paper towel over here? After they begin to germinate, how do proceed from there? Do I plant the little seedlings individually into the dirt?

Sorry Kelly, I'm just not very experienced with horticulture... but I'm learning fast. I kept all of my new plants alive over the summer.

I'm almost positive that 'kitchen paper' is what Brits refer to paper towels as.

Yep kitchen paper is paper towels... i thought i was being good... we usually call it kitchen roll lol

Once germinate place on some moist soil in a small pot... then transfer the seedlings once they are more developed...

and well done on keeping the plants alive...

Darn it I just planted a whole bunch this morning and i covered them up. Thanks for the tip. I'll sprinkle a few on top. How long does it take from planting day to harvest?

I've tried to get dandelions to grow many times and they just never take. Me and my little girl collect them all the time and bring them home to blow and make a wish. I've tried them on all parts of the lawn, in the weed patches, on bare dirt. They just don't like it here.

I sprinkled a few thousand plantain seeds all over the yard two days ago. We'll see how that goes.

I can grow mallow and filaree all day long. If we get enough rain, the wild grass grows pretty well too. Good thing I have grass eaters.

Good luck on the weeds Tom. As for plantains, plantago major is the most notorious weed here. We're literally infested with them. They grow everywhere, even on cracks in the sidewalk! I doubt you'll have any trouble with them, probably the hardiest weed you'll ever see.
