deleted pictures

this is kind of off subject, but can anyone tell me why some threads have their pictures deleted. it usually happens with photobucket. its really annoying when you read an interesting thread and the writer has included visual aid just to have them deleted.
i experienced this today in the tortoise enclosure forum. i was gettin some ideas on how to build a shelter for my sulcata and i came upon some really interesting posts...only to have their pictures removed or deleted. wtf?

what happens is a person has their photos uploaded to a website like Photobucket, but then can either delete them from the server or move them around which would then change the URL link making the original link obsolete.

ha! I know what you mean. It sucks more when the response to the photos are something like "WOW!!! THAT IS THE BEST ENCLOSURE I"VE EVER SEEN!!!!"

It also happens if someone moves the photo's to a different folder in photobucket, which changes the link. I move a few photos to new folders in photo book and then noticed that the pics were not in my TFO thread any more so I put the back in the original folder..
