Why would Posts/Threads be deleted

Didn't you read the guy who was going to keep a Sulcata on the floor of his dorm room for the semester? Or my favorite was the kid who was going on a two and a half week vacation and wanted to leave his hatchling tort home alone no food no lights...that's just an example that springs to mind and both of those were within the last 3 months or so.

I was talking about an example of people giving them bad advice on taking care of their tortoise not the people who posted the thread asking for help. As I recall the advice given to the one going on vacation was not bad advice at all. That's what I was talking about. And if they brought the post back I would hope they would leave it as is so we could have a point of reference here.

The thread of the guy who wanted to let his sulcata just live on the floor of his dorm got a couple replies saying it was fine before people stepped in and said it wasn't a good idea.
