Dried Weeds

How can I get my Russian tortoises to eat dried weeds? Ive been drying them out for winter, ive been testing them to see if they would eat it and they haven't. What can I do to encourage them to eat it before winter? ill obviously feed them fresh stuff and mazuri too.

You can grind up something you know he'll eat into mush then stir it all up with the dried stuff so it all smells like his favorite food. I also use cucumber for this. Grate cucumber into small mushy pieces then stir in the other foods until its all coated. Once he's eating, you can slowly stop adding the mushy stuff.

In my experience with a Greek, you don’t. I never ever persuaded Joe that they were a good idea in over 40 years. It didn’t matter what I did to them!
