Are you using a Mercury Vapor bulb or one of the other combo bulbs with both UVB and heat? They often cause this greenish hue.

That picture looks awful dry. Any chance of a little Humidity for them? Dehydrated torts are uncomfortable torts.

To tell whether or not they are eastern or westerns, we need to see their plastrons and their cheeks. In your picture in post number four, I can see the characteristic golden cheek patch which would indicate Western.

I would be awful worried about them being housed so dry. Severe issues can and will present themselves later on due to dehydration. Didn't mean to place this on you.
