Hello! I am currently writing a novel, and one of the characters is a tortoise. Though I do not clarify her species, I model her (her name is Time) after a Galapagos Tortoise. At one point she is eating, and I was wondering if tortoises (specifically of that species), have the ability to walk and eat at the same time. Is it something they can physically do? Or is it something they altogether abstain from? Thanks!

Yep, they do walk about with food, munching away, stopping, munching some more, etc. Our Sulcata will often drag about a grape vine or pumpkin vine, chewing, stopping, moving along etc. Tortoises like galops and aldabras and sulcatas love to graze......
