Enclosure help

[Peanut Boy]

My name is Peanut Boy. I am a Herman’s tortoise and my mom built me a lattice outdoor enclosure that is 8x16. I spend the day trying to get out poking my head thru the slats. Mom wants to know if using the lattice wood for the border was a mistake

Not necessarily a mistake, but it can be rectified by placing a horizontal board along the bottom edge so you can't keep trying to get through the slats.
