We have a new tortoise; Harold Archibald. We made a DIY enclosure for him with cypress mulch and added live spider plants, a couple hides. We live in the hills so we don’t have him outside, where raccoons or coyotes or other wildlife could... find him. What do you think?

Any feedback for our DIY tortoise enclulosure? Our tortoise name was s Harold Archibald
The reason you didn't get any feedback was because you posted your question and pictures on someone else's thread. I've now moved it to the correct section for you.

I think you will not be able to maintain the correct conditions in an open topped enclosure like that. You need a closed chamber.

I also see no night heat. They need it to be a minimum of 80 degrees in the coldest part of the enclosure, day and night. Unless your whole house is 80 degrees down on the floor 24/7 in winter, then it is too cold for him.

....And be careful with a clamp on lamp like that.
They ALWAYS fail and the light will fall into the enclosure.
Screw it to the wood or cable tie it somehow for a good insurance that that doesn't happen to you
