Feeding and care of Tortoise less than a year old?

Good afternoon, we have 2 baby red footed tortoises. One is 8 months and the other is 2 months. The older one seems to be eating the greens and the occasional worm and dried fruit just fine. The 2 month old not so much. Any advice on what better to feed the younger one? Or she just being a typical baby?

First question: Are they being housed separately?

How are they being housed? What types of enclosure, what types of bulbs, and at what temperatures?

They are housed together, we do feed them separately. We have had the them for almost a week.

You need to seperated them asap. Tortoises should not be housed together in pairs and a 2 month should not be with older ones
They each need a closed chamber enclosure with 80% humidity with top layer of substrate dry. You do this by pouring enough warm water into the corners to dampen the bottom layer while keeping top dry or they could get shell rot.
Use a tube flourescent for uvb and ceramic heat emitters for heat. You can also use an incandescent FLOOD bulb for added light and heat but likely not needed for basking as RF don't really bask.
Add lots of plants for coverage so they feel safe but don't take up to much roam space, they need the room to exercise.
Get things set up correctly and then give them some time to adjust.

The other tortoise is probably stressed due to housing together and that's why it isn't eating.

Hello and welcome! As the others have mentioned,
tortoise of any species should NEVER be housed in pairs under any circumstances, they’re incredibly territorial, behaviours that look cute to us really aren’t, following one another and sleeping huddled up is all bullying the the tortoise world, you’ll eventually see more extreme signs of aggression. Anyone who tells you pairs are fine, have no idea what they’re talking about.

Small groups are ok when there’s lots of land and the correct male to female ratio.

They both need separating into appropriate enclosures, I think you’ll find this thread below useful to read through, take your time going over the information and let us know if you have any further questions🙂
