I was juicing apple beets and sweet red pepper this morning and was thinking that maybe I could feed my little girl some of the pulp. It's mostly fiber i figure. Does anybody have an opinion either way?

YES ... its very good for them! ... Matter of fact I use that exact method when feeding a sick tortise. You can mix vitamans and medicines within the mixture to camoflauge taste....which most redfoots are very sensitive too~
Just becareful about too much sugars in your RF's diet.....always best to " mix it up" ... ;), and I dont think pepper would be on their " choice " list either. Try mixing carrots , cooked yams, rose pedals , marigolds ( which is all good for you too! ) , watermelon to sweeten things up '....sit down and have a glass with your Red's....:p

I juice myself and I use the pulp for stuff like zucchini bread, but I never thought of feeding it to my tort, good idea.

Just remember no citrus pulp and you'll be all set. :)

MMmm another good reason to buy a juicer-that would increase the fibre content especially in the winter when we are more limited for fresh food.
