Feeding Questions

I was recently told that torties love rose petals. Since I had not seen that anywhere in association with Russians I thought I'd ask here first.

Also, how much should I be feeding each day?

When my roses that grow next to the Russian yard are blooming (it's a springtime bloomer), I generally pick off several handsfull every morning and toss them into the Russian yard. These are baby roses, so a handful is about 4 or 5 blooms.

How much to feed is a trial and error process, start with a pile about the size of your torts shell. If there is left overs adjust, if his bowl is cleaned add a bit more.
