Me too....Pedro isn't interested in eating at any other time and any greens just wilt if I leave them out all day. His soaked pellets are still out in the middle of the day but I've never seen him touch them - only likes them fresh.
Morning when I wake up at 7! My russian will eat throughout the day, and if he gobbles it up, he gets a little more. Miss sulcata gets a pile to graze off of now, because it's winter
I put food out in the morning. I have one species that barely touches the food until late afternoon or evening. This was very disconcerting at first, but now I know that's just how they are. There can be a whole plate of food sitting there at 5pm. By 7 it is all gone.
Wake up, feed the other animals (my sulcata likes to sleep in), get the kids off to school, come home from drop offs, soak my sulcata, clean out her water and enclosure as she is soaking, put in her fresh food, get my sulcata out of her soak, dry her off, baby talk at her as I scratch her chin, and plop her down directly in front of her food dish.
My tortoise seems to eat better right after soaks. I have been giving her a huge bowl full that she didn't finish and would snack on a bit later on. Now, her appetite has GROWN and I am starting to give her a second smaller meal a little after our dinner time.
