Hi!
So for two days, I've been trying to mix the ZooMed forest good with fresh veggies and fruit for my daughter's tortoise, Crawlie Lava, and he/she wasn't too happy about it.
I would only see him take two bites, stare at it, and then walk off.
Well this morning I had an idea.
I have the ZooMed forest food and Zilla's omnivore melody.
I decided to soak both of them and mix them together.
I put his/her bowl in the enclosure, picked the little one up and placed him/her in front of the food. He/she took a second to smell it and started digging in!
I am so glad, my idea worked about mixing the two brands together for the little one.
He/she ate a lot and has now gone back to her/his hideout.
Still so glad he/she ate!

Welcome to the forum. What type of tortoise do you have?

Hello and Welcome. Glad you were able to get some relief with him eating
Only Redfoot and box turtles should be eating fruit. There may be other rare species that can eat it, but the only two common ones are the RF and Box turtles. If you don't have one of those two, do not feed fruit.
