The nearest pet store to me has Flukers tortoise biscuits. I can not find Mazuri within 150 miles. Is this Flukers stuff any good? At this place, I also found a calcium block- similar to a cuttlebone, but green in color because it contains opuntia. Is this OK to give to my baby?

I looked for the ingredients online and all it said is that it's a perfectly balanced diet for tortoises and box turtles. That, right there, tells me not to buy it. Tortoises and box turtles don't have the same dietary requirements.

The only two I trust are Mazuri and Zoo Med. You can't buy Mazuri at a pet store. You have to have a feed store order it for you. Call the different feed stores in your town and ask if they sell Purina products. If they do, they can order Mazuri Tortoise Diet for you.

Several members here sell Mazuri. Coastal is one I think I remember tortoisetime565 too. Look through the for sale section and see if you can find anyone selling it.

I am 5 seconds from a feed store- leave it to Arkansas that I am 110 miles from a pet store and neither one can help me... ugh, (clicking my heels together) wish I were elsewhere!

Any feed store should be able to order you a bag of Mazuri. My local feed store does not stock it, but I am able to order it as needed. If not, then there are lots of people selling it here on our site that will ship it right to your door.

I've looked at the Flukers stuff before and opted not to try it, so I have no first hand experience to share.

My tortoises won't touch the ZooMed calcium blocks. It won't hurt anything to offer it, but don't be surprised if your tortoise ignores it.

I buy mine from the Mazuri website because it takes 2 weeks for my local feed store to get a 25lb on special order. I can get it from Mazuri in 3 days and it cost only $5.99 to ship 25lbs.

That is an absolute bargain!
I found 25 pound bags,MAZURI RED LABEL Tortoise Chow, at a feed store in South West Florida for about $32 a bag. I purchased the two pound "zip lock" bags from Tortoise supply before I located it locally. (It wasn't as inexpensive that way.)
What is the price for the 25 pound bag from Mazuri?
If it's over $32, there goes the "cheap" shipping!
