here are my babies at almost 12 months old. Aside from fairly smooth shells, they eat, poo and pee up a storm. I only run my fogger for about 10 min/day and that's during breakfast. After they finish eating i turn the red basking bulb which is close to the fogger hose outlet, they both sit directly below it, sticking their necks out with heads directed into the billowing fog, and that's how they bask. That's also the only time I ever see them sit under any basking lightMine just plugs into a regular outlet. I think it's this same for most of them (foggers/misters)What's the power source on it?
Yes, only distilled water, I have to run it for only 7-10 min per day and in closed chamber it keeps humidity way above 80% at all times with high temps. With this much of use I only refill the bottle once every few weeks (way over a month!) I totally love mine! Any of those room humidifiers would work as well if I had more craftiness in me to figure out how to connect the hose to the outlet. I've got the 2 "left hands" so have to buy things pre-made and ready to useUse distilled water in it and it will last much longer without problems. Otherwise calcium build ups can cause them to clog up and have problems
Simply genious!!!!You can make your own humidifier for a fraction of the cost. I bought this humidifier from walgreens for $19.99 and just took the plastic bit out that sat in the whole and put a plastic tube in from the hardware store. Its been going strong for 2 years now.
