I have a wooden enclosure and I have half of it covered with a wooden lid. Just curious if it would be ok to put HVAC foil tape( not duct tape) on the under side of the lid? To help reflect some light and heat back down to the floor.

i dont see why not, but you can buy foam insulation covered in reflective surface.

no problem! you can even put it higher up on the sides if you want, just dont put it too low so your tort can get to it.

i think so, but i personally go with the foam. better insulation properties
Ok. It’s not so much an insulation thing. Just want to try to reflect light down. But I really appreciate the input. This place is so helpful.
With a wood top you can use aluminum foil, attaching it with double face tape or push pins or use both to to make sure it stays in place.
