My box turtle has a foot infection so my vet gave me an antibiotic creme to apply to it.. The only problem is... He is very squirmy. Even if I try to use a q-tip to help apply it, it seems like I can't do a good job cause he's moving too much. And suggestions?

if the spot is on the foot itself....can you put some of the creme in like a soda pop lid and then dunk his foot into the lid and squish it all over it?????

A pic would help so we know exactly where it is,
But what I would do is when he has his head and legs out grab the leg and hold it firmly whilst you apply the cream, I have to do this alot when injecting in their shoulders.. Good look

I had to use the grab and hold approach with Joe for injections too. Sometimes it takes a partner - one to hold and one to apply treatment.

My other suggestion is to do treatment when he's cooler - first thing in the morning and may be turn off the heat for an hour before treatments during the day.
