So last night I went to buy a few different worms for Iggy at Petco, the live bait store was closed. I was able to score some night crawlers, super worms, and wax worms. I decided to inject a few worms (the night crawlers) into his enclosure this morning because I felt like it would be a more natural hunt for him. At first I was very concerned because he looked like he was semi interested but saying ohhhh hell no. I kept watching from a distance and let me tell you, he charged for that worm and got into strike mode. He got a little of the worm and I assume part of the worm was about to escape and he bolted for it under the leaf and devoured him!
I can’t tell you how much this puts my mind at ease with his eating. I have been trying desperately to get some protein in him and finally he has gotten something in his stomach other than the few bites of cantaloupe or apple.
