I did a garden this year for my tortoise, the lettuce wasn’t picked for a long period of time. It now has flowers on the lettuce plant, it’s green leaf and red lettuce spring mix kinds. Is that still safe to feed to my tortoise?

It's still safe but not nearly as palatable for the tortoises

I’m sure it is all very tasty and good for your tort. I have zucchini and cucumber and other gourds growing....and old and new leaves are devoured. Same with old and new banana leaves that i grow and feed. I’m sure, your tort won’t blink!

Yes it is safe.

Next year I'd grow other things than lettuce.
