If a hatchling is started feeding only on one thing,would it be hard too have it eat other things?Has anyone seen a hatchling consistently take a bite of things then walk away? thanks john

p.s Ive tried offering everything i can and the only thing he will chow on is romaine. Also does anyone know if arugala is ok for leopards thanks again john

it depends how old this hatchling is they are very careful to eat familiar food in preference to anything strange or strong smelling.when they first hatch they tend to bite at food on the floor ignoring whats at eye level.sorry dont know arugala.

You could try cutting up Romaine and anything new you want to add to the diet and make a salad out of it. This will at least get them to try something new.
Arugula (it's Rocket over there Terry) is just fine to feed to your Leopards. Just make sure it's part of the diet, not the majority of the diet.

thanks dan ive been doing that with mazuri i guess its just getting a little frustrating the other two will eat anything i offer

I just got one of my leopard hatchlings to try Mazuri, but she turned up her nose at it for the first month I had her. I noticed she was biting at bits of calcium powder that had fallen to her feeding rock. The next time I fed, I dipped half a soaked Mazuri pellet in the calcium - looked like a powdered sugar donut lol- and she went for it! Now I'm pondering how to get the other one to try it.
