Having trouble changing my avatar?

I removed my old avatar, and tried to upload a new one [straight from my computer], but it keeps bringing back my old avatar! I've saved my new avatar under a new name, even renamed and resized it, and yet it keeps uploading my old one. I can't figure this one out. Help.

The last time I changed mine it took about a day before it changed on the site. It looks like you have a new avatar than usual, so hopefully it worked
