I am having a hard time finding orchard grass hay. It s always a mix. Usually with Timothy or alfalfa. I don't want either of those. I found a mix of orchard grass and brume. Would this be acceptable for my Leopards this winter. Last year I just bought the bags, but would like to get fresher stuff.

Are you feeding it or using it for substrate? Hay is not good for a substrate to dry. The pet stores like petco carries orchard also you can order online.

Yeah, sorry feeding it. I know. That's what I have used in the past, the bagged stuff. I want to buy fresh hay for this winter. I just don't know if brome grass is good. I know alfalfa has too much protein, and I don't like Timothy, neither do they. It is too tough. Is bromegrass good to feed?

I have. It's all mixed. Is bromegrass bad? Does it have to be straight orchard grass?
