Heating Pads, any good use?

I was given two brand-new ZooMed heating pads.

I know I shouldn't put them under the substrate, and I have a wooden enclosure, so I don't think I can put them on the walls or roof.

Is there any good use for them?

In tortoise enclosure - unlikely. They, can be put on a rheostat and used for gentle heating of night hides and boxes but I doubt you need it for your Russian tortoise.
