I use Coco Coir for my adult Russian. But when I put the water in to expand the bricks I use very very hot water. You could even use boiling water if you wanted to. That would kill the bugs. I mix it in a big tub and then squeeze the water out when I put it into the enclosure. That way it is damp but not soaking wet

OMG are you sure? I would not put it past PetSmart?? How big and how do you care for them?
